In the week that just past I spent three days at sea. The yacht Sojana was participating in a race where only sailing by sails are allowed – no engine at all. What I came to learn is still settling in my head, but one thing is this: The men that sailed the boat are passionate. They have made radical life choices, they have decided to live in an irregular way, and very often different from society. Maybe they do not have a wife, maybe they spend half the year away from home. The sea is their eternal lover, their passion, and their life. It reminded me of what it is really like to be a photographer. When I was out there on the Caribbean Sea I saw the boat, and the clouds. Beautiful in all its simplicity.
